5th July 2011 – Update from Alan Easter

So, its the evening before. Months of training now seems like not enough, 2st of weight loss and I still feel like a chunky monkey, 2 layers of padded shorts and parts of me still are sore……who’s bloody stupid idea was this in the first place???

Tomorrow at 6am we leave, Lappin, Milner, Blackmore, Lund, Burnett and many more yet to be named, 46 in total riding from Crystal Palace to the Arc of Triumph in aid of Help4Heroes.

Its Pasta fest, and 4 litres of water a day, a flurry of last minute emails discussing if high viz vests are required in the land of the Cinq Au Sept.

Many have travelled to the Palace today ready for the off. Fortunately I had a quick look at the suggested hotel and when tripadviser compared it to a tent in Tenko opted for the more glamorous Selsdon Park. Any thoughts of an early night though subsided when I arrived to find the quarterly ‘Anne Summers Achievers Club’ checking in….what’s a boy to do?
